Senior Paralegal
Ashtyn Anders-Tapp is the Senior Paralegal at Compass Legal, PLLC, where she combines precision, strategy, and genuine care to support clients navigating family law matters. Known for her attention to detail and steady presence, Ashtyn brings both professionalism and heart to every case she touches.
With extensive experience in family law, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation support, Ashtyn has worked on matters ranging from negotiated settlements to contested hearings and trial preparation. She regularly drafts pleadings, briefs, final orders, and divorce decrees; conducts detailed legal research; manages complex case timelines; and assists attorneys in mediation and court proceedings. She takes pride in helping clients feel informed, prepared, and supported — especially during life transitions that can feel overwhelming.
Her passion for resolution and practical problem-solving was strengthened through her work as Office Coordinator for the Early Settlement Mediation Program in Oklahoma County, where she conducted family and civil mediations. During law school, she served as Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Group, further developing her commitment to thoughtful, solution-driven advocacy.
Before dedicating herself fully to the legal field, Ashtyn served in several public-sector leadership roles, including Public Information Officer for the City of Farmers Branch and compliance roles within both Farmers Branch and Carrollton. These positions sharpened her communication skills and reinforced her belief that clarity and transparency build trust — a principle she carries into her work at Compass Legal every day.
Ashtyn earned her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2020, where she was a Merit Scholar, National Representative of the American Bar Association Law School Division, and President of Future Lawyers for Children. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Microbiology, Cell and Molecular Biology and Philosophy from Oklahoma State University — a combination that reflects both her analytical mindset and her deep interest in people.
Service remains central to who she is. Ashtyn has volunteered with CASA, Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, and the Palomar OKC Family Justice Center, and gained hands-on experience as a licensed legal intern with the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office and Fassio Law, PLLC.
At her core, Ashtyn believes strong advocacy starts with listening, thoughtful preparation, and always guiding clients in the right direction.
